Human liver cytosol
Cytosol, also known as Cytosol, is the liquid fraction dissolved in intact cells. It is the supernatant (precipitated into microsomes) of S9 prepared by centrifugation at 109000g. It mainly contains proteins dissolved in the cell cytoplasm and various cell contents, such as NADPH, UDPGA, PAPS, and other cofactors that initiate drug metabolism reactions.
